History
Since its founding in 1932, Fielding Electric has been a family owned business.
Established by Bill Fielding, the company was owned by two generations of the Fielding family before being acquired by Wayne Grau in 1980. Michael Krippendorf joined the company in 1982 as a first-year apprentice electrician. Over the course of 18 years, Michael worked his way up through the field and into the position of Project Manager, before purchasing the company in 2000.
The leaders of Fielding Electric, Inc. have all shared an avid commitment to the electrical industry, both as electricians and as business owners. Their dedication has included active participation as members in the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), since the company joined in 1937. In addition, Michael taught apprenticeship courses for the Eletrical Training Institute for over ten years.
Fielding Electric has been a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of NECA since 1937, making it the second longest member in Los Angeles.
